I saw a great quote the other day that really resonated with me.
“Running is my Ctrl-Alt-Del”
It got me thinking… What would it be like to not have something that blew the cobwebs, clutter or congestion out of my brain? What would I do if I didn’t have a way of disconnecting from the daily accumulated backlog of mind noise and reconnecting with something more natural, freeing and real?
Lucky for me I don’t need to answer these questions because I have magic buttons that I press that do just that. That buttons get pressed when I run down a quiet back road at night until I start smiling for no logical reason. That buttons get pressed when I’m charging down a trail at sunrise and remembering what it felt like when I was 5 and pretending to fly. These are the buttons I like to press regularly because they help me clear the screen and cancel all the processes running in the background. This is my Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Do you know someone that needs to hit those buttons? Or perhaps you know someone that doesn’t know how? Grab their hand and drag them out onto that deserted road or the quiet mountain trail; it may just be the greatest gift they ever receive…
